If you were around in Melbourne Town last night chances are, like me, you were out meeting and greeting with the big wigs at Mastercraft. Not to mention a few guys by the name of Harley Clifford, Daniel Powers, Tony Iacconi, Shota Tezuka and Andrew Adkinson (above). New World Marine was the setting, and the reason the boys are all in town is to launch the Mastercraft Australia Tour. it was a great night filled with signings, speeches and wise cracks, by me, with Tony’s Dad Rob. Renowned for sponsoring some of the biggest events on the planet including both the Wakeboard World Championships, IWWF World Cup and MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, MasterCraft are showing a substantial commitment to wakeboarding in Australia by providing sponsorship to the Australian Wakeboard Nationals and the Australian Open. Add these national events to the World Cup stop in Mandurah-Perth and 2013 is set to be an extremely busy year for the MasterCraft Team.
As well as the sponsorship of these National and International competitions, a clear focus has been put on providing the opportunity for riders and boat owners to experience the MasterCraft difference both behind the wheel as well as on, through and above the wakes. MasterCraft will be touring Australia to demonstrate the latest models and offer riding and coaching from members of the Pro Team including wakeboarding legend Andrew Adkison, Harley Clifford and Tony Iaconni.
